What is Uterine Fibroid Embolization
Uterine fibroid embolization (UFE) is a minimally invasive procedure used to treat uterine fibroids by reducing their blood supply. Fibroids are noncancerous growths that can cause heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, pressure, and other disruptive symptoms.
At Seamless Medical Centers, UFE is performed by board-certified interventional radiologist Dr. Zagum Bhatti as an outpatient procedure. By targeting the fibroids directly, uterine fibroid embolization allows many women to avoid major surgery while preserving the uterus and improving quality of life.
